82 Percent Increase in Housing Sales to Foreigners!
Housing sales to foreigners continue unabated. In the first half of the year, housing sales to foreigners increased by 82 percent and reached a record.
Housing sales to foreigners, which maintained their strong course in the first quarter of 2019, reached 13,388 in the first four months. In the January-June period of last year, 7 thousand 341 units were sold to foreigners. In June of this year, the sale of housing to foreigners increased by 82.1 percent compared to the same month last year, from 2 thousand 43 to 3 thousand 720 rose.
According to data from Turkey Statistical Institute (TSI), Istanbul province continues to be the most favored about the houses bought by foreigners. In June of last year, the foreigners who owns 676 homes in Istanbul, bought 839 thousand houses in June of the new year. Foreigners’ housing purchases in Istanbul increased by 172 percent in June compared to the same month last year.

Considering the nationality of the foreign homeowners in Turkey continued leadership Iraqis. Iraqis bought 337 houses in June last year and 533 houses were purchased in June this year.
